Luke Perry Dead At 52
Actor Luke Perry has died after suffering from a massive stroke. He was 52 years old.
The beloved star passed away Monday morning, March 4, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank. Luke was initially rushed to the hospital last Wednesday, February 27, after suffering from the stroke while at his Sherman Oaks home.
He reportedly was sedated by doctors, who hoped to give his brain a fighting chance to recover from the trauma of the stroke but apparently the damage was too extensive.
Luke rose to fame nearly 30 years ago on Beverly Hills, 90210. He successfully transitioned to several other roles on television and film, notably the CW series Riverdale. He’s survived by his two children, Jack and Sophie. He was married to Rachel Sharp from 1993 to 2003.
Luke's rep issued a statement shortly after news broke about his death. "Actor Luke Perry, 52, passed away today after suffering from a massive stroke.
