'He Hasn't Been This Stressed Out Since He Saw A Woman In Short Sleeves': Watch Jimmy Kimmel Roast Mike Pence's Tricky Trump Situation

Jimmy Kimmel has never been one to pull any punches when it comes to political commentary, and the late-night show host had a field day on Tuesday, January 5. He gave his insights on two runoff elections in Georgia that would determine party control of the U.S. Senate — and also had some choice words for Vice President Mike Pence, who has found himself in a pickle regarding his upcoming congressional duties.

“Last night the devil came down to Georgia, he was looking for a vote to steal,” Kimmel joked, poking fun at sitting President Donald Trump, who of course has been vocal regarding his opinion that he did not lose the 2020 election to Joe Biden

On that note, Kimmel fired some humorous shots at Pence, who on Wednesday was tasked with the chore of having to certify the results of the Electoral College vote (which would officially stamp Biden as victor). Pence's role as head of the Senate is mostly a symbolic one in this matter, but of course he has been facing pressure from his boss to somehow place results in Trump's favor.

Pence can't legally do this, but, naturally, will face wrath from Trump if he doesn't. "Boss baby is pressuring Pence to say he’s the winner,” hooted Kimmel. "Which makes no sense. By that logic, Al Gore could’ve declared himself to be President.” (Gore ran for President in 2000, when he was serving as VP to Bill Clinton.)

“Can you imagine how sweet it’s going to be when after years of Mike Pence kissing the president’s Kentucky-fried ass like a Rottweiler licks a roast beef, Trump turns on him in the last minute?” Kimmel wondered. “Poor Mike Pence, he hasn’t been this stressed out since the time he saw a woman in short sleeves.”

Kimmel's zinger was a shot at Pence's much-talked-about evangelical Christian beliefs and practices, which include what many consider to be overly restrictive boundaries on interactions with women, regardless of his relationship with them, out of respect for his wife and marriage.

Pence (to our knowledge) isn't forbidden from looking at a woman's arms, but he does refuse to attend events where alcohol is served without his wife, Karen, and he will not dine alone with a woman.
