Did The Weeknd Shade Ex Bella Hadid In New Song 'Save Your Tears'? See The Shocking Evidence!
Singer The Weeknd shocked fans in his new "Save Your Tears" music video when he removed the bandages on his face and revealed a new face, which some fans think was a dig at ex Bella Hadid, who has looked different over the years.
The Weeknd revealed the drastic look, where he was made up with prosthetics, in the video. He donned high thin eyebrows, sharp cheekbones, lip filler and what looks like a botched nose job in the clip.
"IS THE WEEKND TRYING TO LOOK LIKE BELLA HADID BC I CAN SEE IT," one fan tweeted with a comparison photo.
Shortly after Hadid and The Weeknd split — they dated on and off from 2015 to 2019 — they reportedly had an awkward run-in at a nightclub and Hadid left. Some fans think this was the "crowded room" Tesfaye referred to in the bop. "But then you saw me, caught you by surprise. A single teardrop falling from your eye," The Weeknd sings.
Not everyone was impressed with the musical artist shading his ex, though. "If he did, it would be unnecessarily cruel and reflect a level of maturity that he'd likely carry into future relationships," one user replied.
"The Weeknd is definitely bashing Bella Hadid with the whole plastic surgery themes," another user said.
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, also dated Selena Gomez in between Hadid. Some fans didn’t think the song was about Hadid at all but about Gomez since the model in the video looks a lot like the brunette beauty.
Fans noticed that Gomez released a song called "Crowded Room" in 2020. "Baby, it's just me and you. Just us two. Even in a crowded room," Gomez sings in the track from her Rare album.

Others also heard The Weeknd whisper "Selena" around two minutes into the song. At the same moment, he takes the hand of a model, who looks very similar to the "Same Old Love" singer.
"The Weeknd's entire After Hours album explains his life as a whole and the relationships he's been in. From Bella Hadid to Selena Gomez, all of it is in this album. From his life before fame, to the troubles that he deals with/faced both physically and emotionally because of the cost of Fame. This album explains in perfect detail all of his past songs and The Hollywood industry as a whole," a fan noted in the YouTube comments.
Meanwhile, some just thought the exaggerated face he wore in the video was a jab at Hollywood in general.
"The Weeknd, keeping the artistic vision for his album, appearing at the AMA’s last year like this and continued with his latest video. Genius," one fan gushed.
Both Hadid and her mother, Yolanda Hadid, have denied that she has ever had any work done, but it’s unclear which of his former flames the song is about. "Save Your Tears" hit over 13 million views on YouTube within hours of posting, so The Weeknd definitely has a hit on his hands.
