Jennifer Aniston — who played the infamously cheery Rachel Green on the sitcom from 1994-2004 — has been called out online for a habit that a TikTok user says “is going to ruin your life, especially if you are a big fan of the show Friends,” adding: “It's very specific and it's very hard to unsee once you notice it."

User @Cts.trphe shared a clip with the warning: "If you are a big fan of that show, I'm begging you, scroll away… Jennifer Aniston has this sort of vocal tic that she does at the beginning of every single sentence that she starts.”
The montage shared comes from a 2019 YouTube video showing Rachel clearing her throat 200 times over the course of the series.
Some fans agreed with the TikTok users assessment. “Yes! She does this so much,” one person commented. “A lot of people have crutches when acting when they don’t know what else to do. A lot of people sigh or grunt, etc.”
Others, though, say it’s not a tic, but Aniston’s way of preparing for the scene. “I thought it was just, like, acting?” another commenter wrote. “To indicate that the character is uncomfortable. She only seems to do it in situations that are a little awkward." A third TikTok user commented: “Bruh, she’s… acting. She does it when the character/situations are awkward.”

The highly anticipated Friends reunion special — which will eventually air on HBO Max — was supposed to be filmed in March 2020, but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the project was put on hold.
Despite the delay, OK! reported that Aniston has reassured fans that it will be worth the wait. "It’s going to be super. You know what? This has also given us more time to make it even more exciting and more fun than it would have been. So I choose to see it as the glass is half-full that it got postponed,” she said, adding: “Look, we’re not going anywhere. You’re never going to get rid of Friends, sorry. You’re stuck with us for life guys."
