“I can't imagine being married again,” Clarkson said to President Joe Biden's wife, after pointing out they had both been through divorces.

The First Lady insisted the American Idol winner not to lose her faith.

“If I hadn't gotten divorced, I never would have met Joe," she assured. “I can't wait until that day comes for you.”

Before meeting the politician, Biden married former college football player Bill Stevenson in February 1970. They later separated in 1974.

The former model turned educator met then Senator Joe Biden in March 1975 on a blind date set up by his brother Frank. They were married on June 17, 1977, at the Chapel at the United Nations in New York City, four-and-a-half years after the future President’s first wife and infant daughter died in a motor vehicle accident.

Clarkson, for her part, filed for divorce from her husband of seven years Brandon Blackstock in June 2020, citing irreconcilable differences. Since then, the split has been anything but amicable.

The “Behind These Hazel Eyes” singer, who was awarded primary custody of their children River, 6, and Remington, 4,  even called the situation "horrible."

OK! was the first to reveal that theThe Voice coach filed a claim to the California Labor Commissioner's Office in October 2020, alleging that her agreement with Starstruck Management (owned by Blackstock and his dad, Narvel) was a "fraudulent and subterfuge device" for her managers to perform "illegal services" as agents, due to them being unlicensed in the state of California, and therefore she was owed all the money she earned while under such devices.

Her ex fired back, allegedly denying the accusations that he was charging her outlandish fees during the duration of her contract with his management company. The talent agent reportedly claimed that Clarkson is not entitled to any money that he, his father or their management company earned while working with her over the past 13 years.

Clarkson’s highly anticipated interview will be the First Lady’s first solo broadcast interview since moving into the White House.

The two will reportedly discuss Biden’s continued commitment to education, military families, cancer research and bringing the country together, and they’ll both take questions from the show’s live virtual audience.

The episode will even feature a special Kellyoke performance by Clarkson and her musical director Jason Halbert, requested by the First Lady and performed in the East Room of the White House.
