Kelly Clarkson Stuns In Haunting Rendition Of 'Green Eyes' On St. Patrick's Day: Watch
Pop princess Kelly Clarkson got a little mellow during the Wednesday, March 17, episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show — performing a haunting version of Coldplay’s 2002 hit song “Green Eyes.”
The song choice comes on the second St. Patrick’s Day during the COVID-19 lockdown. The singer looked stunning in a floor-length dark green dress with patent leather boots. Her band, Y’all, wore green hats and matching suits.
“Cause I came here with a load / And it feels so much lighter since I met you / And honey, you should know / That I could never go on without you / Oh, green eyes / Green eyes, whoa / Honey, you were a rock,” Clarkson crooned with a sense of heartache.
The “Because Of You” songstress has been on a roll this week during Kellyoke, performing a powerful rendition of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game” on Tuesday and Faith Hill’s “Keep Walkin’ On” to start off the week.

During a conversation with Khloé Kardashian on her hit daytime chat fest, Clarkson discussed sharing parental duties with her ex. "You speak about co-parenting, and I'm doing that right now too," she told Kardashian — who shares 2-year-old daughter True with Tristan Thompson. "It's tough... I know with me and Brandon, it's just a difficult thing because we're in different places, and it's like, we both agree on the main things, but it's a hard thing when you're not together all the time, for me personally."
Later in the interview, Clarkson admitted that she and her ex always “focus on” the kids first, adding: “As long as you make sure it’s about the children and their best interests, then we’re both on board.”
As her messy divorce continues to play out, Clarkson has kept herself busy. She currently appears on the new season of The Voice in addition to her hit daily talk show. OK! recently learned that the pop star has been turning her heartbreak into art and has written 60 songs following her split from Blackstock and is working on a new album.
