Kelly Clarkson Tells Gwyneth Paltrow She 'Can't Even Imagine' Getting Married Again After Split From Brandon Blackstock: Watch
Amid her messy divorce from Brandon Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson can’t see herself walking down the aisle again... At least that's what she's saying now!
The 38-year-old discussed love on The Kelly Clarkson Show with guest Gwyneth Paltrow, who has been married to producer Brad Falchuk for two years. Paltrow’s godfather, Steven Spielberg, was even the videographer at their wedding.
"Coming from someone who’s literally in the midst of divorce, I can’t even imagine doing it again," Clarkson said, but was happy that the 48-year-old "found love and found the space and the vulnerability on that level to say yes and do it again."
Paltrow tied the knot with Chris Martin in 2003 before they divorced in 2016. "[It was] probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done ... allowing myself to learn the lessons that I needed to learn from my divorce," Paltrow told Clarkson. "You will have it again, Kelly. It just takes time."
"I’m actually in that place where I think a lot of people, I've heard, that go through divorce [get to]," Clarkson replied. "It’s almost like you start dating yourself again, like you actually make time for you again."
"I love dating me! So I’m actually not looking for it," the "Since U Been Gone" singer added. "It's also a beautiful thing for a lot of people like me that are going through divorce that do want that in the future to know that it can and will probably happen for you."

Since Clarkson felt that her divorce was harder on her children, River Rose and Remington Alexander, she asked how Paltrow and Martin co-parent their children, Apple and Moses, together.
"We made a commitment early on to be a family even though we weren’t a couple, which you know sounds weird and impossible, but we worked with a therapist," Paltrow explained. "We really did want the same things, and we wanted the divorce to ideally impact the kids as little as possible."
The divorce has been tough on Clarkson, according to OK! sources. "She's not in the best place emotionally," an insider previously told OK! after Clarkson and her former manager filed for divorce six months ago, adding that she's "stunned that things have taken such a nasty turn." "One day, she just started crying uncontrollably," a second insider added. "She felt so lost, so alone. That's when she knew she'd hit rock bottom."
Clarkson cracked up when Paltrow shared that Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s "WAP" is a song she listens to when she’s down. "I needed that in my soul," Clarkson said after she rolled on the couch laughing at Paltrow’s song choice.
Clarkson previously encouraged the blonde beauty to make an album. "I like being a backup singer more… there’s no way I could make an album or do what you do," the Goop founder explained.
