Blake Shelton Promotes Tour Dates As Rumors Swirl He's On The Chopping Block At 'The Voice'
Blake Shelton is ready to get back to playing gigs out on the road!
The 45-year-old country singer took to his Instagram on Wednesday, September 22, as he promoted his upcoming dates for the next week. Shelton will be heading out to St. Louis, Missouri, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Fort Worth, Texas all in the span of 3 days.
Joining the "Ol Red" musician on the billing will be fellow country artists Martina Mcbride, Tracy Bird, Trace Adkins and Lindsay Ell.
The concert promo comes as reports have surfaced that Shelton's days may be numbered as a judge at NBC's The Voice. As OK! previously reported, after new judge Ariana Grande brought in a new audience to the show, producers may be looking to nab younger pop stars to sit in the judge's chairs.
A source dished to Radar, “Current top ten artists like Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X, Billie Elish, Olivia Rodrigo, and The Weeknd, were all hesitant about starring on a competition show before Ariana Grande signed on."
"After a decade on the show, producers are quietly looking to replace Blake with someone younger and more current. Blake is great but he is not in Ariana’s league," the behind the scenes insider revealed.

The CMT Music Award winner has been on the show for 21 seasons after being a judge during the show's premiere season in April of 2011. Shelton was on the panel alongside Adam Levine. Christina Aguilera, and CeeLo Green.
The source went on to say, "Now she [Ariana] has changed everything and opened the flood gates to future relevant talent which isn’t good news for Blake Shelton. Sure, he is a star and people love him, but he doesn’t exactly burn up the charts anymore."
Although the guitar playing star has been loyal to the long running competition show, an agent explained, "It is time for a shake-up. The only way the show remains fresh is by constantly evolving. Huge stars that wouldn’t even consider joining the show a few months ago are now thinking again, thanks to Ariana."
