Kanye West Previews New Song In Sha'Carri Richardson Beats By Dre Ad Ahead Of Album Release — See The Clip
After months of silence, Kanye West has returned to social media to promote his upcoming album Donda.
The 44-year-old scored and edited a new Beats by Dre ad commercial featuring a one-minute preview of "No Child Left Behind" from the album. The commercial also features track and field star Sha'Carri Richardson, who was suspended from Team USA before the Olympics after testing positive for marijuana.
The ad featured Richardson preparing and running 100m in slow motion with red Beats Studio Buds earphones while the new track plays.
"I am human," the 21-year-old tweeted when news of her failed drug test went public. In an interview on Today, she also admitted that she had been using marijuana to cope with the death of her biological mother, who passed away only a week before the track trials. Gabrielle Union, Seth Rogen, Amber Riley and more celebs showed support for Richardson in the aftermath.
The commercial confirmed that the new album will come out on Friday, July 23, on top of a Donda listening event on Thursday, July 22, in Atlanta, which will be livestreamed by Apple Music at 8 p.m. ET.
West posted a clip of the commercial on Instagram with no caption, but fans still blew up.
"YEEZY SEASON HAS APPROACHED," one fan exclaimed.

"album of the year already off this one snippet," another gushed.
"Time to make history 👏," a third fan said.
Meanwhile, the "Famous" singer is still following estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, on the social media platform, despite her filing for divorce earlier this year.
"He’s shunning the public eye. Even when he does go out, it’s with all the makings of a military operation," a source previously told OK! after West was photographed in Los Angeles in May wearing a balaclava mask that covered his whole face.
Donda will be West's tenth studio album and is believed to be named after his late mother. He reportedly previously said he would release Donda in July 2020. His last studio album was 2019's Jesus Is King.
