Claudia Conway Slams Claims Of Using Drama With Mom Kellyanne As Publicity Stunt, Insists 'It Was Not For Clout'
After Claudia Conway returned to social media last week following her short-lived hiatus, she addressed her family drama once more, insisting her tumultuous relationship with mom Kellyanne Conway was not a publicity stunt.
OK! recently reported that the 16-year-old returned to Twitter on Friday, July 2, with a lengthy update on the status of her formerly fractured family. At the time, she told her followers: “The love i have for my family will never deteriorate. we all have our flaws. we all have our days. we are all human."
Claudia — who had last posted on the social media platform in May – also said she loves her mom and is finally "safe."
Claudia has been very vocal about her troubled relationship with Kellyanne — last summer she claimed she was actively seeking emancipation from her mom — via social media, previously accusing Donald Trump's former advisor of being "abusive" towards her.
However, the mother-daughter duo appears to be doing well, as Claudia has taken to social media for a second time to discuss where her relationship with her mom lies. "I know it's not really anyone's business, but I kind of made it everyone's business, not intentionally," Claudia began her series of TikTok videos on Tuesday, July 6.
The former America Idol contestant admitted she was in a bad place when she made the slew of shocking accusations against her mother. "I was seeking help earlier this year," and last year, "because I was in a state where I didn't know what to do," Claudia confessed. The teen then acknowledged that she understands many people are probably confused on her "situation" at home.
"I am happy and I'm safe," she insisted, adding that her relationship with her mom is "actually really good right now."
Claudia gave insight into how she and her mother worked on their troublesome relationship, noting that Kellyanne is "getting the guidance she needs." As for Claudia, she already "got the guidance [she] needed," the TikToker claimed.
"We got the guidance we needed together. And it's all about breaking that cycle," Claudia continued. "So we are living proof that you can break that cycle."

In her second TikTok video, Claudia applauded her mom for working through her past struggles. "She's been through things, traumas, I can't even fathom. But she worked through them. She healed those traumas and I'm proud of her," Claudia added of Kellyanne. "Things are much better, and I'm grateful."
Claudia went on to address skeptics who accused her of exploiting her alleged family drama for attention. "No, it was not a publicity stunt. Yes, I was in an unsafe place and state," she said. Claudia also insisted she wasn't being forced to say these things, noting that she's "pretty independent."
The blonde beauty explained that she publicly opened up about her toxic relationship with her mom to help "spread awareness."
"It was not for attention. It was not for clout. It was not for followers. It was simply to gain awareness and seek some sort of help," the social media star said before thanking those who helped her get out of the situation she was in. She also acknowledged those who have "been on this journey" with her.
Wrapping up her rant, Claudia emphasized that she will be using her platform to help others grow while she also works on herself. "Time teaches you growth, time teaches you to break that cycle. That cycle of unhealed traumas," she stated. "That cycle of abuse. You don't have to live like that. Fortunately for me, my mother and I worked through it and we are good."
In January, Claudia accused her mom multiple times on social media of being abusive towards her. She also posted videos of a woman she purported to be her mother berating and allegedly hitting her.
Apart from Kellyanne facing shocking claims made by Claudia, the 54-year-old was under investigation after a topless photo of her minor daughter was allegedly posted on her Twitter account, a spokesperson for the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office exclusively told OK! in February.
One day after the photo was allegedly posted on January 25 to Kellyanne's Fleets on Twitter — similar to Instagram's Story feature, deleting 24 hours after it is posted — four police officers visited the family’s New Jersey mansion. That same day, Claudia coincidentally retracted past controversial statements she made, noting that she was quitting social media for the time being.
